Top 10 free patterns for Festival Season

Free summery festival patterns Simply Crochet

This year’s scorcher of a summer has inspired us to create a round up of our favourite and FREE, festival themed crochet patterns! Many of these items would also be perfect for any holidays you may have planned, and double up as unique gifts for friends and family too!

1. Embellished sandal pattern
This is one of our own patterns from Simply Crochet 56, and a firm favourite in the office! Sara Huntington has made a wonderful beginners project here, and given us the perfect excuse to add a pompom trim too! Click here for the pattern pdf.

2. Feather embellishment pattern

What better way to stand out at a festival than with your own headdress? We love these crocheted feathers from Poppy & Bliss and think they’d look really fab if embellished on a headband, or added to a dreamcatcher and hung in your tent or if you’re lucky, a VW campervan! Click here for the pattern.

3. Crochet wrap pattern

Shawls are so versatile and we think we’d be channelling our inner Stevie Nicks in this outfit – for added 70s hippy chick look we think some dip dye at the edges would look fab! Check out All About Ami’s pattern here.

4. Mochila backpack pattern

Every discerning festival diva needs a glam bag to store the essentials. We’re sure this free gorgeous bag pattern from Croyden Crochet will serve you well!

5. Mini pineapple purse pattern.

There’s no fun in carrying around a huge wallet when you’re out all day at an event, so why not hook up this free tropical pineapple purse from Happy In Red to save yourself some money and space!

6. Flip Flop Sandals

These upcycled flip flop sandals by Make And Do Crew are so pretty! They’re inspired by dream catchers and beautifully boho, adding a hippy chick vibe to any outfit.

7. Unicorn headband

No festival outfit is complete without an oversized floral crown or an outrageous hat but we think this unicorn headband by The Knotty Redhead ups the stakes by a long shot!

8. Mushroom shoulder bag pattern

We had to include this adorable little toadstool mushroom shoulder bag by Hey Carrie! It’s really cute and actually quite easy to make. We decided to remove the long strap and use it as a cosmetics storage bag!

9. Pineapple lace summer top pattern

We’ve seen a few of these pretty crochet crop tops lately, but this particular design by The Purple Poncho definitely caught our eye with the pretty detail underneath!

10. Mandala hoop earring pattern
Last but definitely not least, are our statement mandala hoop earrings by Hannah Cross, from issue 56 of Simply Crochet Magazine. Embellished hoops are all the rage this year, and we’ve already made a pair in almost every colour! Click here for the free pattern pdf.
