We’re big fans of Jane Crowfoots amazing blankets, so when we heard she was teaming up with the fabulous West Yorkshire Spinners for a new project we new it was going to be special! The recently released ‘Indian Roses’ blanket is made up of a repeated square motif and half and quarter motifs to achieve a square blanket shape, and features some impressive crochet layering techniques to achieve a 3D effect on the flowers.
The blanket was inspired by Janes trips to The Green Hotel in Mysore, India and in particular some decorate tiles on a Victorian wash stand found within the hotel. The blanket is made up of 3 types of yarn from the WYS DK range – Blue Faced Leicester, Aire Valley & Bo Peep, which all compliment each other beautifully to create this aspiring heirloom blanket. The kits are available through WYS stockists – for stockist enquiries contact WYS
We’ve teamed up with West Yorkshire Spinners to give one lucky person the chance to win a Indian Roses Blanket Kit, that includes the pattern, 28 balls of yarn and a WYS branded bag – that’s a prize worth a massive £135!!!
