Crochet designer challenge: vote for your favourite crochet pattern in our new Hook to Hook competition

Hook to hook designer challenge issue 66

In Simply Crochet issue 66 you’ll find our new Hook to Hook designer challenge, and this issue it features designs by Melissa Masterson and Veronika Cromwell.

“In our busy world, the simple act of hanging out washing on a sunny morning”, Melissa told us, “smelling the fresh air and feeling the breeze, makes a chore a pleasure. My old peg bag was actually a school textiles class project (for those of an age to remember such things!), and after many years of service it had come to its end. So, I wrote a pattern for a new crochet version! The yarn has a lovely silky finish that gives great stitch definition and the colours are gorgeous.” Melissa is online at www.rubyandcustard.com

Veronika told us about her design, “I started designing my own patterns after we found out we were expecting our baby boy, Jacob. Inspiration can come from anywhere, whether it’s a napkin in a restaurant or a poster in a shop window. The storage basket I designed was inspired by the texture of a pebble beach we spent a lovely day on with my family.” Find Veronika online at www.bluestarcrochet.wixsite.com/company and www.ravelry.com/designers/veronika-cromwellknit-crochet-christmas.com
