HanJan Crochet designed this stunning diamond blanket from issue 40. It’s unashamedly bright, has fun textured stitches that form a clever diamond pattern, and it’s finished off with a playful fringe (so there’s fewer ends to weave in too!). If you only crochet one blanket this year, make it this one.
Throughout the pattern you work each dc in the backloop. And don’t turn after every row – instead work every row from the right side, and break the yarn at end of each row. Each new colour is joined with a slip stitch, and the tails at the end of each row make the tassels.
You can download the pattern as a PDF from Ravelry here.
