The #Make2Share challenge is about spreading your love of crafting to friends and family – we’re asking you to give a handmade gift, and ask the recipient to then pass on a gift of their own.
Started by retailers, media companies and manufacturers, we want to promote the joy of handmade giving and receiving. If you visit the #Make2Share website you can watch a short video explaining how it works, as well as download printable gift tags and address labels to use.
You’ll also find loads of inspiration and project ideas – crochet and knitting patterns, recipes, and instructions for gifts including handmade soap, embellished notebooks, finger puppets, fabric coasters and much much more!
If you’d like to take part, post a photo on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or any other social platform, and use the hashtag #Make2Share. And here’s a little bit of text you can use too:
To my friend, I made you this [handmade item] as part of the #make2share challenge. In exchange for this random act of giving, all I ask is for you to make and share something special in the next two weeks. Post a photo and be sure to tag #make2share so we can keep it going forward!
You can also find lots of free patterns and ideas right here, like this Crochet Daffodil, this Tunisian Crochet Glasses Case, or a Simple Bow, and over on The Yarn Loop is this pretty hat with a crochet flower – the flower would also make a great gift on its own, made into a brooch.
