Competition: win Bristol Wool Fair tickets

In our new competition you can win Bristol Wool Fair tickets. This year the event runs from 11th to 13th September 2015, and has moved to a new venue, Washing Pool Farm near Cribbs Causeway. The extra space means there’s room for over 80 stalls, selling unique hand-made gifts and yarns, a wide choice of workshops, and an auction. There’ll be sheepdogs, rabbits and alpacas, plus the incredibly cute Valais Blacknose sheep. The duck-herding show returns this year, there’ll be a falconry display, and a live Viking camp – you can see the ancient craft of nadelbinding (knotless knitting), plus Viking wolf dogs and raven, and warriors in battle.

The new location means there’s free parking, and a free shuttle bus from Cribbs Causeway if you’re using public transport, and the reduced set-up costs means ticket prices are lower (plus under-16s are free). For further information, or to buy tickets, visit the website www.bristolwoolfair.co.uk. The event’s chosen charity is the Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
We’re giving away a pair of weekend tickets to one lucky crocheter! For your chance to win, fill in the entry form here with your details. The competition closes in 1 week, at midnight on Friday 21st August.
